Last week, Methods of Civic Engagement discussed the need for strategies that are both regenerative and generative - moments of refrain to reframe narratives and assert our own imagination into the political sphere.
This Wednesday, we will consider ways of developing personal and collective practices that make space for creative and critical action. Please join us for a workshop on developing methodologies that balance activist work toward something joyful, artistic, and human.
As a jumping off point for the workshop, we will consider the work of artist Jenny Holzer. In particular, we will take a look at Holzer's use of language as a way of unsettling and reasserting in Truisms and Inflammatory Essays.
Join us at Flitch Coffee on February 8th at 10am.
